Edinburgh

With a skyline dominated by the Castle from which you can see the medieval Old Town and the elegant terraces of the New Town, you will also see Edinburgh as a modern, vibrant and cultured capital. It is Scotland’s second largest city and considered by many to be one of the most picturesque in Europe. Edinburgh is a truly cosmopolitan city attracting over one million overseas visitors each year making it the most popular UK destination outside London.

Finance, business services, retailing and tourism are the largest employers along with education. With its status as a World Heritage Centre, tourism is and always will be a mainstay of Edinburgh’s economy. They say that if you stand in one place in the city, everyone in the world will eventually walk past you. Given the diversity of the people who flock to the Capital for the internationally renowned Festival, it may just be true.
